Today we added 4 top notch Dell PowerEdge R610 machines to our existing configuration of servers. These monster servers will help us to meet a growing demand of CPU power needed for all video conversions.

We are now able to convert PRC (Mobipocket) to EPUB, FB2, MOBI, PDF, TXT, LIT. Unfortunately at this we do not offer PRC (Mobipocket) as output file type.

We added several AVCHD video formats to the list of supported file types. As of today you can convert .m2t, .m2ts and .mts to all common video types

We have implemented a new feature when downloading videos from YouTube. If a video is available in more than one video resolution then you can select between the default resolution and the highest available. This makes possible the download of HD videos from YouTube.

Let’s say you are converting a movie trailer from the url above. If you select Highest available as YouTube video resolution then we will download the 1080p version of this trailer and convert it to a video with the same resolution. Otherwise we will download the video played by default when opening this page.

We are now supporting some of the most used eBook file types. From now on you can convert EPUB, FB2, MOBI and LIT files.

There were some problems with downloading flash videos from YouKu and KeezMovies. It seems like the site owners made some changes on the layouts and ConvertFiles was unable to detect the exact location of the flash videos. Our developers made the necessary updates and everything is working fine now.

ConvertFiles.com is now able to extract screenshots from your videos. By selecting “Extracted thumbnails (.jpg)” as output format you will get a ZIP file containing JPGs extracted from the video. We are currently making one JPG on every 10 seconds.

I am happy to let you know that from now on you can convert also DWG and DXF files.
