.ods, namely OpenDocument Spreadsheet, is a kind of spreadsheet file extension. Created by StarOffice Calc program or the OpenOffice.org, ODS files could save data in order as rows and columns. With OASIS OpenDocument XML-based standard, the files can be formatted as well. It is a spreadsheet file format that is part of the Open Document Format for Office Applications (ODF) that also includes chart, presentation, and text documents.
